Stay away from the Machines if you can, otherwise a nice place for the entertainment and dining. Someone should complain to the state Attorney Generals office because casinos are suppose to payout a percentage of their profits, but since this place is new they will not be paying out anything soon. 50 cents a play, so much for the Penny Machines. Call this place the Tough Luck Casino and all the penny machines that I found costs. I walked around and saw the expressions on peoples faces, and it was not good. Northfield purchased the facility, located at the entrance to the Cedar Point Causeway, in the summer of 2005. Cedar Downs is located in Sandusky, Ohio. I highly recommend other casinos besides this one. Cedar Downs is the only off-track betting parlor in the State of Ohio and is owned and operated by Northfield Park. This is all lights sound and vision and no money being paid out. The noise the Machines make, seem to get people to think someone is winning, that is a scam, the slot machine makes all these fancy noises and spins 20 times and you are lucky to a Three dollar bump. When you sign up for membership they do not give any free plays, cheap, cheap and cheap, there are no decent promotions and this place is terrible for payouts. While this place is new and spacious there a few major issue.
